Bare Metal Installation

This section contains sections describing how to install each of the DPRES components on a clean Ubuntu 16.04 system. It is only of interest to:

  • Developers who want to install all the DPRES components on their machine, but don't want to use Docker.

  • System administrators responsible for installing DPRES in their test and/or production environments.

These instructions do not assume that you are necessarily installing all the components in the same machine: they will work even if you install each component on a different machine.

You are strongly recommended to use one of the other installation methods if you are installing DPRES for development purposes / personal use.
