Required Supporting Software

The Content Engine requires a combination of the following software components:

Operating System

  • Ubuntu Server (Long Term Support version recommended)

Application Server

  • Apache Tomcat version 7 (7.0.54 or later)

Database Server

One of the following:

  • MySQL 5.6 (although any stable MySQL version > 5.0 should work)

  • Oracle Database 10.1 or later

Java SE Development Kit

Oracle Java SE Development Kit 8. For information about upgrading an existing installation from Java 7 to Java 8, see /ece-tech-notes/6.2/upgrading_to_java_8.html.

Web Server

Apache Web Server (latest version)
