Export Users

This page contains a form that allows you to:

  • Export users to other Escenic publications.

  • Cancel earlier user exports.

Exporting users is a means of giving them access to other publications. It is not in itself sufficient to give them access, however. Once you have exported users to another publication, that publication's administrator must assign access rights to them. They will then only have the rights granted to them by the target publication's administrator.

An important use of this functionality is to allow users of one publication to access and make use of content in another publication (called cross-publishing).

The form contains the following items:

Users are currently imported from these publications

If the administrators of any other publications have exported users to this publication, then the exporting publications are listed here.

Users are currently exported to these publications

If you have already exported users to other publications, then those publications are listed here. A graphics/delete-button.jpg button is displayed after each publication listed. You can cancel the export by clicking on this button. Your users will then lose whatever access rights they had to this application.

Export users to pubs

Any publications to which you have not already exported users are listed here. A checkbox is displayed next to each publication name. To export users, check the publications you wish to export to and click Export. You can use the Select all and Deselect all links to check/uncheck all the listed publications in one go.
