Changing Content Item Types

In order to change a content type (for example, add, remove or change the content type's fields), add a new content type or remove one, you must:

Edit the content-type resource. For details of how to do this, see content-type.
Upload the changed content-type resource to the Content Engine see Creating/Updating Publication Resources).

If you have changed any templates to take advantage of the content type changes and you are not working directly on the application server then you will also need to redeploy your application as described in Deployment.
