Required Supporting Software

The Content Engine requires a combination of the following software components:

Operating System

  • Ubuntu Server (Long Term Support version recommended)

  • Solaris 10

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 (Note however, that most of this guide describes installation on a Linux/Unix platform. For additional guidance regarding installation on Windows, see Installing on Windows.)

Application Server

  • Apache Tomcat 6.0

Database Server

  • MySQL 5.0.x

  • Oracle Database 10.1 or later

LDAP Server

Open LDAP 2.0 or later (using LDAP v3 protocol)

Java SE Development Kit

Oracle Java SE Development Kit 6

Web Server

Apache Web Server Version 2.2.12
